Looking at the Terror Mountain logo reminded me of a saying I heard last year when I was really going through some tough stuff.
"When you suffer from mental illness, you feel like you’re climbing a mountain. A mountain that everyone else gets to start climbing from halfway up, while you’re struggling to get off the bottom. The thing is, starting from further down only means you can reach greater heights. To get to the same level as other people, you have achieved twice as much, and have twice as much to be proud of."
I think this is incredibly true and a very powerful thing if you can remember it during your darkest times. I’m not sure if this will make anyone feel any better, but I hope it gives someone, even one person, a bit of hope.
I’ve seen a lot of blogs on here in distress lately and it pains me to see you guys upset. But if possible, try and remember:
You’re stronger than you think you are. Treat yourself with love and kindness.
You are worth it.
